I'm catching some of the DR v.s. Netherlands game before heading over to the Rogers Centre. The Netherlands just put up a three spot in the first thanks to a Hanley Ramirez throwing error at short. He made a nice diving catch, but one of the more lackadaisical tosses I've ever seen. Not the first time I've seen that from Hanley either.

Not really too sure what Alou was thinking here. If you're going to DH Ortiz, why don't you play Hanley at first over Willy Aybar, a utility infielder? Jose Reyes is clearly the better defensive SS and probably makes that play right there. I guess if he isn't playing he can't get hurt, but I want to see him get some reps in and not sit on a bench.
