Open For Business

Mike Pelfrey tossed 1/3 of an inning yesterday before a rain delay put an end to his outing. That wasn't the big news in Met land though. As a matter of fact, the real news had less to do with the actual Mets yesterday and more about Big East rivals Georgetown and St. Johns. The story was about the opening of the team's new home, Citi Field.

I was not there personally. As much as I would have liked to go I'm going to be there soon enough on opening day, and I want my first experience at the park to be a Mets one (and not a Hoyas one). From the pictures and reviews that have been floating around there is a lot to be said of the new stadium. One thing that I've noticed is the insane amount of available advertising space left. Whole panels are just left blank affixed to scoreboards and daimondvision 2.0. How much could that space be going for? Two reviews of note with photos that are quite good are over at Faith and Fear and Metsgrrl.com.
